about

I'm writing a song a week for an entire year, a thing I'm calling WWSW! This weeks song is about what scares me the most. Send a prompt to my tumblr or my facebook page and i'll write a song about it!

lyrics

First things first/ they should know/ that I have demons, they follow me/ wherever I go./ You nodded and said/ “I understand”/ I said “I don’t think you do”/ they’re the kind that never sleep/ and always follow you./ If you love me/ then you love them too/ and if you can’t then/ what am I to do?/ but wish that they’d/ disappear/ but they’ll always-/ they’ll always be here/ doot doot doo/ Nothing scares me more/ than thinking they’ll win somehow/ every night they scratch at my door/ leaving claw marks and what if’s in a pile/ echoes and howls/ reminders that they’re/ still around./ what if you can’t love me/ and love them too?/ they’re apart of me/ although I wish/ I do/ that somehow/ I could cast them out/ maybe then I’d love me too/ most things scare me/ if I sleep in peace/ its a rarity/ oh/ know that I wish I could change/ oh god/ I wish I could outgrow/ these childish fears and the days/ I sleep all da-aaaay/ what if you can’t love me/ and love them too?/ No amount of love can cast them out/ I know that now, I do/ maybe I’ll always live without?
